Reflected in its Vision and Mission statements and supported by its strategic intent, GCET focusses on learning through research and scholarship that is strongly linked to the needs and developments of Oman. GCET acknowledges that research excellence is firmly rooted within all our programmes and in the ability of our research staff to contribute towards research excellence.

In GCET, we ensure that teaching is inspired by research. In order to achieve this, GCET provides an excellent research environment and a clear framework for research undertaken by its staff and students for the management of research activity.

GCET provides opportunities for staff and students to carry out research and enterprise activities in order to expand the boundaries of knowledge within and across the programmes.
