\nDr. Mazhar Hussain Malik is Senior Lecturer and Head of Computing and IT (CIT) at the Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Oman since September 2017. He has a vast working experience of 15 years in both industry and academia. He researches include Computer Networks, Network Security, wire\/Wireless communication, Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence. In addition, He has been conducting research on machine learning for industrial use and data analytics. He has worked as Network Engineer and Networks Manager from 2005 to 2006, and from 2009 to 2010 in MCB Bank Limited, Pakistan and NCR Corporation, USA, respectively. He served as a Lecturer at The University of Lahore, Pakistan from 2006 to 2008. He also holds the positions of Assistant Professor and Head of Computing and IT in Institute of Southern Punjab, Pakistan from 2015 to September 2017. He has taught and keep teaching modules such as Mobile Applications, Legal and Ethical Issues in Computing, Machine Learning, Advanced Networks, Research Methodology, Mobile and Embedded Devices, Enterprise Systems Development, Programming for Data Science. He supervised around 30 UG and 17 Master students along with 2 PhD students. He holds industry certificates from the CISCO, Juniper and NCR which includes, CCIE, JCNP, PRINCE2 project management and Information Security and Risk Management. He has professional membership of ACM and IEEE.
\nHe is the editorial board member of International Journal of Computer Science and Information Security, World Academy of Science Engineering and Technology, International Journal of Advanced Computer Research, International Journal of Advanced Computer Science and Applications. He is the reviewer of IEEE Access, Engineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, Kybernetes and associated with well know conference technical program committee members. He served as General chair of Asia Pacific International Conference on Emerging Engineering from 2017 to 2020.
