The English Club organized an online Inter College Debate Competition titled \u201cMONEY BUYS HAPPINESS\u201d for the General Foundation students on 22nd<\/sup> of June, 2021, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twenty students competed in the debate from ten different colleges and institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were 3 judges for the evaluation of the debate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Ms. Ferhana Thagia (external judge)- Lecturer in English Language, Sultan Qaboos University.<\/li>
  2. Mr Bonu Reddappa- Event Management Coordinator, ELC, University of Technology and Applied Sciences.<\/li>
  3.  Mrs. Rahma Al Amri- Senior Lecturer, Global College of Engineering & Technology.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The winners from the affirmative side were as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Winner \u2013 Ismail Khalfan Ibrahim Al Araimi (Modern College of Business and Sciences)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Runner-up \u2013 Basa\u2019er Ahmad Abdullah Saeed (National University)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The winners from the negative side were as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Winner \u2013 Amani Waleed Al Siyabi (University of Technology and Applied Sciences)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Runner-up \u2013 Aisha Mohammed Al Shehhi (Global College of Engineering and Technology)
