GCET Hosts “Shoot” Startup Weekend: Oman’s First Sports-Tech Hackathon
The Startup Weekend is a globally recognized event that brings together entrepreneurs, developers, and creatives for an intensive 54-hour experience to transform ideas into viable projects.
In this special edition, the Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) hosts the event in collaboration with leading universities and academic institutions across Oman, reflecting a strong spirit of innovation and partnership.
Branded as “Shoot”, this edition focuses on sports technology and public health, aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 to enhance quality of life.
Notably, it is the first specialized sports-tech hackathon in Oman, marking a significant step toward advancing innovation in the sports and health sectors.
